This upcoming weekend spectators will once again usurp the streets of Washington D.C. as Project Glow approaches. The festival features over 30 performances, including the incredible Tiesto, LSDream, NGHTMARE, Dom Dolla, and Zeds Dead. With that being said, get ready to be submerged in sounds so powerful, they’ll move your soul.
Whether this is your welcome or return to the world of electronic music, it’ll certainly be a warm one. The 2023 lineup released Project Glow from the regular festival routine, featuring tastes of trance, trap, dubstep, and house. Marking the second ever Project Glow, this weekend has expectations to go beyond and mistakes to mend. As part of my preparation, I interviewed several PG 2022 attendees, and here's what I found out.
Project Glow may be one of the most accommodating festivals yet, taking safety, sustenance and transport into consideration. Thoughtfully placed, there are food truck and beverage stations just beyond the festival entrance. A few steps later and you'll find yourself at the Pulse Stage, to my VIP readers, here's where you'll find all your perks plus a photo op! The project does not mess around with precautions, if necessary, attendees can utilize their map to locate the info booth, cash exchange, lost and found, first aid station and more! As if the festival couldn't contain its excitement, it included free shuttles to, and from the event.
As I continued to question past attendees on their experience they raised a huge interest in the upcoming installations, they've reported that Project Glow 2022 combined visual and auditory art in ways never seen before.
One concern for concert lovers is sound bleed, which reportedly, there was a lot of at last year's launch. Taking that into consideration, it appears PG re-structured for prevention purposes.
We’ve all heard about the terrible twos but I’m sure Project Glow 2023 will turn them terrific.
